Open a CPR Training Business
“Ellen Fischer has found a way to accomplish her career dreams, fill a need in the marketplace and make a difference in the world, all by opening her own CPR training business.
A few months ago Fischer started CPR Training Plus, which offers on-site CPR and first aid training for businesses. CTP also offers classes on first aid, blood-born pathogens and for using an automated external defibrillator (AED).
The Grafton resident previously taught CPR and first aid for eight years at Columbia St. Mary’s, where Fischer enjoyed helping others learn valuable tools on saving lives.”
“I believe so strongly in knowing these skills,” said Fischer, an American Heart Association certified trainer. “What other skills can you learn that can save a life?”
Through teaching, Fischer saw that businesses were changing their thought process on providing emergency training for workers. Realizing how difficult it can be for businesses to find time for their employees to be trained, Fischer travels to the client’s company, offering the classes on location.”
