Entrepreneur Cooks Up Dog Biscuit Business in Her Own Kitchen
Five years ago, Eleanora Budd received a dog-biscuit-making kit for Christmas. Today she has her own line of dog biscuits, Mrs. Budd’s Dog Biscuits, that she makes at her home in Gray.
“I just started making them,” said Budd. “I started to make my own little packages.” Budd is from New York City and has lived in Maine for 12 years. She worked as a nail technician — she owned a nail shop in Falmouth — before moving into dog- biscuit business full time.
Budd makes around 500 biscuits per week.
